What this video covers
When this happens
Notifications come last in the setup sequence. After you have imported the residents into a call group and everyone is added, the notification is what tells them the system is live: a message saying, in effect, you have a new CellGate system, download the app and set a password so you can use it. Sent inside the TrueCloud Connect platform, from the CallGroup section.
1) Select who to notify
Go to the Video (or Voice) Call Group. Beside each resident’s display name is a checkbox; select the ones you want to notify. On a fresh import that is usually everyone, but you can also select a single resident who never received or acted on the first message.
2) Resend by email, SMS, or both
With the residents selected, click Resend Notification at the top right of the call group header. Choose email, SMS, or both. Both is the safe default on a first send, since you may not know which address or number a given resident actually checks. The message carries the link and instructions to get into the CellGate app. You can also schedule notifications to go out on a later date instead of sending immediately, which is useful when you need extra time to finish adding everyone to the system but want the announcement queued to send on a set day.
If a resident says they never got it
Almost always this is a missing or wrong email or phone number on the resident’s record, so check that first in editing the resident and resend to that individual. Multifamily, HOA, and commercial properties can reach Gold Key Service for help with a batch that will not deliver.
