Introduction

This video provides detailed instructions on how CellGate access control system owners can add users to TrueCloud Connect via its dashboard. TrueCloud Connect™ is CellGate’s proprietary back-end architecture that manages all data flow between product hardware, the internet, cellular networks, landline phones, smartphone apps, and the administrative web portal. Adding users effectively is crucial for ensuring proper access control and management across your property.

How to Add Users to TrueCloud Connect

  1. Log In to TrueCloud Connect: Use your login credentials to access the dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Users Section: Click on “Users” at the top of the screen in the main menu to pull up the user management section.
  3. Manage Users:
    • Click on “Manage Users” to see a list of all existing users.
  4. Add a New User:
    • Select “Add User”: Click on the “Add User” button.
    • Enter User Information: Fill in the required fields:
      • First Name
      • Last Name
      • Unique Email Address (the phone number is optional)
    • Click “Next” to proceed.
  5. Assign User Type:
    • Select User Type: Choose the appropriate user type, such as Resident/Employee.
    • Assign User Group: Depending on the desired access level, select from options like “Video Call Group Manager with Remote Access,” “Video Call Group User with Remote Access,” or “Video Call Group User.”
    • Click “Next” to proceed.
  6. Set Access Permissions:
    • Property Access: The default setting is usually “yes,” granting the user access to the property.
    • Click “Next” to proceed.
  7. Add Access Methods:
    • Gate Code: You can add a gate code, which the system will verify for uniqueness.
    • RFID or Card Clicker: Optionally add an RFID or card clicker.
    • Click “Add Access Method” to save.
  8. Invite User to Call Group:
    • Add New Call Group: Create a new call group or add the user to an existing one.
    • Display Name: Enter a display name for the directory (between 5 and 15 characters).
    • Click “Save” and then “Next” to finalize the user setup.
