Setting a Gate Schedule: Hold the Gate Open on the Days and Hours You Choose

Jul 16, 2024  |  Support Resource, TrueCloud Connect

A gate schedule holds a gate open automatically during set hours, so it stands open for the morning rush or a leasing office’s business hours and closes itself the rest of the time. You set it once and the gate follows it.

Choose the gate

Sign in to the TrueCloud Connect platform and select the gate you want to schedule by name. A property with more than one gate schedules each independently, so make sure you are on the right one before you start.

1) Find the schedule function

On the dashboard, the schedule function sits to the far right of the Trigger Gate button. Open it to add a new hold-open schedule for the selected gate.

2) Set the day and the hours

  1. Choose the start and end day. For a schedule that runs on one day, select that day as both, for example Monday to Monday.
  2. Enter the start and end time, for example 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

A useful habit carried over from access restrictions: a window meant to run to the end of the day should end at 11:59 PM, not 12:00 AM, so it closes before the day rolls over rather than leaving a gap.

Confirm it saved

Click Save. A saved schedule highlights in blue, which is the dashboard’s signal that the gate will hold open during those times, and you are returned to the main dashboard. If the block is not blue, the schedule did not save; re-open the function and check the day and time entries.

To change a schedule for a one-off day, a holiday, or an event, use override an existing schedule rather than editing the regular one.
