Wireless Access Control System

OmniPoint Wireless Multi-Point Access Control

OmniPoint is a wireless multi-point door access control system that works like a hub and spoke. An OmniPoint Gateway acts as the communications hub that transmits data to CellGate’s TrueCloud Connect™️via wired Internet or cellular LTE.

The Gateway then communicates locally with up to 50 entry points using long-range LoRa technology, allowing access points to be deployed up to one mile from the Gateway without the need for long-distance data wiring. Only local wiring is required at each entry point for power, the card reader, and the lock

Product Features & Benefits

OmniPoint

OmniPoint Gateway

An OmniPoint Gateway provides connectivity to TrueCloud Connect via cellular LTE or Internet; and connectivity to EPMs or OPSs via a LoRa network.

Gateway Dimensions:
8.5″ height, 8.5″ width, 3.5″ depth, not including antenna(s) or connectors.

Maximum LoRa range is achieved the higher the Gateway is installed.

Each Gateway comes with a 5.8dBi fiberglass omni-directional LoRa antenna, lightning arrestor, mounting bracket and power supply.

Supports most properties that span up to one mile, and up to 50 entry points. Range is dependent on site layout and topography.

Antenna accessories are available.
-Additional 3dBi or 8dBi LoRa antennas
-Cellular LTE directional antennas

OmniPoint EPM (Entry Point Modules)

Models Available:

OP-EPM-DG (Internal Antenna)
OP-EPM-DG-EXT (External Antenna)

Each EPM (entry point module) comes with a choice of internal or external antenna, depending on LoRa signal strength at the individual entry point.

They are standard double gang size.

Dimensions are: 4.5″ height, 4.5″ width, xx” depth.

They work with any Wiegand 26-bit device.

Ideal for majority of gates, card readers, keypads or wireless remotes.

EPMs store common restrictions at each entrance.

If connectivity to TrueCloud Connect is lost, credentials still work.

Powered by 12vDC or 24vAC

Compatible with customer’s choice of electronic locks.

Fire Alarm Function

This function enables the fire alarm to trigger a desired designated action when activated, including opening some or all assigned doors and gates. It also closes such entries upon completion of the fire alarm event.

TrueCloud Connect™

Entire system is managed via TrueCloud Connect, hosted by Microsoft Azure.

Simple, robust administration.  New users, access with time/date restrictions, alerts/notifications and access log time & date details are set up/reviewed via TrueCloud Connect.

Notifications are sent to designated parties via text or email regarding access attempts at specific entry points or by certain users.

Better security.  Know instantly who utilized an entry point, and when.

Prop open notification: gate/door sensor notifies designated user(s) if gate/door has been left open longer than 3 minutes.

Better security.  Gates and doors cannot be left open inadvertently.

Multiple user tier levels available for varied user and administration management needs.

Gives the administrator flexibility to provide only the system functionality each designated user really needs.

Mass import of user and credential data.

Makes initial user setup simple.

Multiple locations managed via a single login.

Simple administration of multiple properties.

Connecting Integrations

TrueCloud Connect has connecting integrations with Yardi and RealPage property management software that facilitates provisioning of all CellGate products without dual entry.

Networks

OmniPoint’s Gateway provides connectivity to TrueCloud Connect via cellular LTE or Internet; and connectivity to EPMs via a LoRa network.

Works on Verizon or AT&T LTE cellular networks for wireless communication from the OmniPoint Gateway to TrueCloud Connect.

A hardwired internet option is also available.

Allows for utilization of existing internet infrastructure (if available), minimizes recurring costs.

Utilizes LoRa technology for data communication between the OmniPoint Gateway and locally installed EPMs (entry point modules)

LoRa is noted for its long range transmission distance, strong signal penetration and high sensitivity.  LoRa transmissions can penetrate glass, metal and concrete.

CellGate App

The CellGate app is used by property management to create access codes, send momentary “open door” or “hold door open” commands.

Ultimate convenience; means certain system functions can be controlled from anywhere.

The CellGate app works on both iOS and Android smart phones.

Works with majority of smart phones.

CG Installer Control App

The CG Installer app is for dealers/installers only; the app works on both iOS and Android smart phones.

Works with majority of smart phones.

Dealers/installers utilize the CG Installer app to activate EPMs while in the field.

Makes OmniPoint installations quick and simple, especially compared to wired systems.

OmniPoint FAQs

How does OmniPoint reduce installation costs?
OmniPoint significantly reduces installation costs by eliminating the need for long-distance trenching, conduit runs, and extensive data cabling between buildings or entry points. Using long-range LoRa wireless communication, OmniPoint Entry Point Modules communicate back to the Gateway wirelessly — so installers only need local wiring for power, the lock, and the reader at each opening.

This makes OmniPoint especially cost-effective for outdoor areas, parking gates, detached buildings, amenity spaces, and multi-building properties where traditional wired access control infrastructure can become expensive and labor-intensive. Installations are typically faster, less disruptive to the property, and easier to expand in the future.
Can existing readers, cards, or credentials be reused with OmniPoint?
In many cases, yes. OmniPoint works with standard 26-bit Wiegand devices, allowing many existing readers and credentials to remain in place rather than requiring a full rip-and-replace installation.
Can OmniPoint be added to an existing access control system?
Yes. OmniPoint can function as a complete property-wide access control solution or as an add-on to an existing system. Many properties use OmniPoint specifically for difficult-to-wire outdoor areas, remote gates, parking areas, amenity spaces, or multi-building properties where running wiring between buildings is not practical.
What makes OmniPoint different from traditional wireless access control?
Unlike many competitor wireless access control solutions that rely on Wi-Fi or require line of sight between devices, OmniPoint uses long-range LoRa wireless technology designed specifically for reliable property-wide communication across challenging environments.

OmniPoint's LoRa network communicates through walls, buildings, garages, and other obstructions without requiring trenching or extensive network infrastructure.

OmniPoint is also fully integrated with CellGate's TrueCloud Connect™ platform, giving property managers centralized remote administration, real-time activity logs, credential management, and the flexibility to expand the system as property needs evolve.
How does OmniPoint simplify access control for multi-building properties?
OmniPoint simplifies multi-building properties by allowing multiple doors, gates, and access points across an entire property to communicate wirelessly through a centralized Gateway — without requiring trenching or network infrastructure between buildings.

Because OmniPoint uses long-range LoRa wireless technology, property managers can secure detached buildings, outdoor amenities, parking areas, storage rooms, and remote entry points while managing everything through a single login to TrueCloud Connect™.

This gives properties the flexibility to expand access control as needed, standardize credential management across multiple buildings, and reduce the complexity and cost typically associated with wiring separate structures together.
