Accessing TrueCloud Connect
To begin managing your readers, log in to TrueCloud Connect and follow these steps:
- ✅ Click on the Accounts Tab at the top of the screen.
- ✅ Use the search function to locate your specific account.
- ✅ Once inside the account, navigate to the Kits Tab.
The Kits Tab is your gateway to connecting various types of readers.
Configuring a New Reader
To set up a new reader, follow these steps:
- Locate the Wiegand Port under the Kits Tab (this is where different reader types are connected).
- Click on it and select Config to begin the setup process.
- The Configuration Page will open, requiring you to:
- Specify the type of reader you’re connecting (keypad, RFID, or CR series device).
- Name and describe your device (for organizational purposes).
- Adjust the visibility settings for different user levels.
💾 Click “Save” to apply the changes.
Enabling a Reader for Access Control
📍 Steps to Enable Facility Codes & Activate the Reader:
- ✅ Click on Properties > Locations, then select Edit on the correct property.
- ✅ Scroll down to ensure “Allow Facility Code” is set to YES.
- ✅ Now, enable the reader – all readers will be pre-configured to wave-to-open functionality.

Once enabled, the CellGate Reader supports several access methods:
🔹 QR Code Access
Users receive a QR code on their phone and scan it at the reader for entry.
🔹 Keypad Entry
Users enter a numeric access code into the keypad for secured access.
🔹 Bluetooth Hands-Free Access
Users can wave their phone in front of the reader for seamless, touchless access.
🔹 Encrypted Card Credentials
Supports secure RFID cards with encrypted data protection.
