Watchman FAQs

Can Watchman work offline?

Yes. Local access codes stored at the keypad continue to work if connectivity is interrupted, and cameras capture still photos on entry events. Video may be stored locally on the camera. App calls and notifications resume once service returns.

How do visitor codes work?

Watchman supports unique visitor access codes with time-based windows, managed in TrueCloud Connect and the CellGate app. All use is recorded in the activity log for auditing.

Does Watchman support mobile notifications?

Yes. Visitor calls and alerts are delivered through the CellGate mobile app, and you can configure email or text notifications for system events.

What external cameras are compatible?

Watchman models that support external cameras must utilize CellGate branded cameras. The Watchman W410 supports one external camera, and the Watchman W450, W461, W480 and WXL support up to three external cameras.

Is Watchman suitable for commercial properties?

Yes. Watchman is used at commercial and multi-family properties, with models designed for those environments and scalable feature sets.
