A QR Temporary Visitor Pass gives a guest scannable access for a set window of up to 24 hours. You name it, set when it starts, and pick the gates. Here is the whole flow in the CellGate app.
Open the CellGate app and tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
Select Access Credentials, then Visitor Passes.
Make sure you are on the QR Code Visitor Pass tab, not the PIN Code tab. This is the step people miss: the pass type you create depends on which tab you are on.
Tap Create Visitor Pass at the bottom of the screen.
1) Name it and set when it begins
Choose QR Temporary Visitor Pass.
Name the pass. This is what the guest will see, so use their name or purpose.
Select when the pass will begin working. A QR temporary pass can be set for up to 24 hours.
Press Save.
2) Choose the gates
Select which gate or gates the QR code will work at, then click OK. Grant only the entrances the guest needs.
3) Save and share
Click Save at the bottom of the screen. You can then choose to share the pass now or later, by text or email. For every pass you have issued, see finding your Visitor Passes.
