The CellGate Digit Reader: How to Access Your Property

Jul 16, 2024  |  Support Resource, Readers

The CellGate Digit reader, previously called the CR keypad, is the keypad at your gate: enter your access code and the entry point opens. This shows how residents and employees get in with the Digit.

What the Digit reader is

The CellGate Digit is an integrated 2-in-1 reader that combines a touch keypad and a proximity card reader in one unit, so it gives you two ways in: tap a credential card or fob, or type an access code. It supports encrypted 13.56 MHz DESFire® EV3 credentials and works with existing 26-bit Wiegand systems. The central RFID reader area is marked with a wireless symbol near the number 8.

1) Card or fob: tap and go

Tap your credential card against the keypad Digit device. The central RFID area is marked with a wireless symbol near the number 8.

2) Access code: type, then enter

Type your access code, then press the Enter button marked with a house icon to open the entry point. If you make a mistake while entering the code, press the Cancel button marked with an X to clear your entry and start over.

Other ways in

The Digit keypad is one of several ways onto the property. To use a phone or card instead, see the CG reader guide, and for the four-way Infinity reader, the Infinity reader guide. Visitors can be sent a Visitor Pass instead of a permanent code.
