What this video covers
Find the call group
The TrueCloud Connect platform manages the data moving between solution hardware, wired internet, cellular LTE networks, landline phones, the CellGate app, and the administrative portal. A call group is where a resident’s directory entry and call routing live.
- Sign in to the portal with your administrator credentials.
- Click Manage Call Groups in the main menu at the top of the screen.
- Find the call group in the list, or use the search to locate it by display name.
1) The display name: what a visitor reads at the gate
The display name is the text a visitor scrolls past at the entry point directory, so it has to be recognizable and it has to follow the property’s naming convention. It runs between five and fifteen characters. Change it here whenever a resident’s name changes or the convention needs correcting, and it updates at the gate.
2) Phone numbers: where the visitor call rings
Add or update the phone numbers attached to the call group. This is the setting that decides whether a resident actually gets reached: a call rings the numbers on the group, and the app call falls back to them when the app goes unanswered. A resident with no number on file can only be reached through the app, so keeping a real number here is what prevents a missed visitor.
3) Entry points: which gates list this resident
A property can have several entrances, and a resident does not have to appear on all of them. Manage which entry points show this call group in their directory, so a resident is listed at the gates that make sense for them and left off the ones that do not. Save when the group reads the way you want.
