Entering with an access code
Tap Access Code on the Watchman W480 screen to bring up the keypad, enter your assigned code, and confirm. The entry point opens. Codes are issued by your property administrator; if yours is not working, it may have expired or been removed, check with them.
Entering with a guest QR code
If you were sent a Visitor Pass, tap Guest QR Code on the screen and hold your phone up to the W480’s camera with the QR code showing. Once it scans, the entry point opens. Do not screenshot and forward a QR pass, recurring passes change after each use, so a shared screenshot will not work.
Calling a resident from the directory
Visitors without a code or pass can tap the Directory, scroll or search to find the resident, and place the call. The resident receives the call in the CellGate app or on their phone, sees or speaks with the visitor, and can grant or deny access from wherever they are, see answering a video call for the resident’s side.
Speed dial buttons
The W480 can display one-touch speed dial buttons that connect a visitor directly to preassigned contacts, without hunting through the directory. Your property administrator configures which contacts appear.
