A PIN Temporary Visitor Pass gives a guest a numeric code for a set window of up to 7 days, useful when a visitor would rather type a code than scan. You name it, set when it starts, and pick the gates.
Open the CellGate app and tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
Select Access Credentials, then Visitor Passes.
Make sure you are on the PIN Code Visitor Pass tab, not the QR Code tab. This is the step people miss: the pass type you create depends on which tab you are on.
Tap Create Visitor Pass at the bottom of the screen.
1) Name it and set when it begins
Choose PIN Temporary Visitor Pass.
Name the pass. This is what the guest will see, so use their name or purpose.
Select when the pass will begin working. A PIN temporary pass can be set for up to 7 days.
Press Save.
2) Choose the gates
Select which gate or gates the PIN code will work at, then click OK. Grant only the entrances the guest needs.
3) Save and share
Click Save at the bottom of the screen. You can then choose to share the pass now or later, by text or email. For every pass you have issued, see finding your Visitor Passes.
