If you are set up for voice calls, a visitor at the gate reaches you as a regular phone call, no app required. This shows how to answer, hear the visitor, and open the gate right from your phone keypad.
If you are set up for voice calls, visitors can reach you from the gate using the CellGate device directory. The call comes in as a regular phone call from 972-231-1999, so it works on any phone, no app or data connection required.
1) Answer and listen
Answer the call like any other phone call, then press 1 to listen to the person at the gate. You can speak with them to confirm who it is before deciding whether to let them in.
2) Open the gate, or deny access
To open the gate, press the star (*) key or press 9. To deny access, simply end the call. For convenience, save 972-231-1999 in your contacts as “CellGate” so you always recognize calls from the gate. To grant access ahead of time instead of live, you can send a Visitor Pass.
