Multifamily Solution: Total Property Security Access with CellGate

Dec 15, 2025  |  CellGate Solutions, Watchman

CellGate brings Total Property Security Access to multifamily communities: live video telephone entry (video intercom), access control, and camera integration, run through the TrueCloud Connect platform and the CellGate app. One system covers the entry, the amenity doors, the credentials, and the resident roster.

The entry: video intercom and the directory

A Watchman at the community entrance handles the visitor: live video telephone entry, a searchable resident directory, and a call that reaches the resident wherever they are. Calls go to the CellGate app first and fall back to phone numbers, so a resident who has not opened the app still gets the call.

Every access attempt is photographed by the built-in camera, and the larger touchscreen models suit a community entrance where the directory has to be readable at a glance.

Access control across the whole property

A community is more than its front gate. Entría controllers cover doors, elevators, and amenity spaces on wired internet or cellular LTE, and OmniPoint reaches the entrances that sit too far from a panel to wire economically.

Hold-open schedules cover the leasing office hours, blackout days override them for holidays, and a First In schedule can require an authorized credential before a hold-open period begins.

Credentials residents actually use

CG Readers & Credentials give residents Bluetooth contactless entry, card and fob taps, or a keypad code, whichever the community prefers to issue.

For guests, vendors, and deliveries, residents issue QR or PIN Code Visitor Passes: recurring for a dog walker, a set window for a move-in crew, single-use for a delivery. Time and day restrictions apply to any of them.

The resident roster stays current

The part that decides whether a multifamily deployment stays healthy is the roster. The TrueCloud Connect platform integrates with property management software including RealPage and Yardi, and treats that system as the source of truth.

An overnight sync carries the day’s changes across: move ins, move outs, unit transfers, roommate promotions, and the reversals that follow when plans change. Nobody re-keys a resident list, and access does not outlive a lease.

What makes CellGate different

Here is what sets CellGate apart: it is the only company in the industry with dual-network flexibility, carrying data over either cellular LTE or wired internet, with both managed through one login.

On a multifamily property that is not a technicality. The front gate, the pool door, and the parking structure rarely share the same connectivity, and the mix decides how much trenching a deployment needs.

“Wireless where you need it. Wired where you have it.”

Gold Key Service through the whole rollout

Gold Key Service is the multifamily support model: activation specialists through setup, import specialists who check the resident data before it lands in the system, and training for administrators and residents. Every team member is a specialist in one stage rather than a general call center, and the relationship carries on after installation.

Common questions

What is Total Property Security Access?

It is CellGate’s approach to putting live video telephone entry (video intercom), access control, camera integration, and credential-based entry into one system, administered through the TrueCloud Connect platform rather than four separate tools.

How does the property management system integration work?

Your property management system stays the source of truth for resident data. After the initial migration, an overnight sync reflects move ins, move outs, unit transfers, and roommate changes in TrueCloud Connect without anyone maintaining a second list.

Why does dual-network flexibility matter on a community?

Because entry points are scattered and connectivity is not. Supporting cellular LTE and wired internet equally means each opening uses whichever is already available, instead of the property paying to extend a network to every one of them.

One blended wired and wireless solution

Wired and wireless working together is what delivers Total Property Security Access across a multifamily community, from the entrance to the amenity doors to the resident roster. Contact your local dealer or a CellGate security specialist to scope it for your property.
