Commercial Video Intercom and Access Control: Total Property Security Access with CellGate

Dec 15, 2025  |  CellGate Solutions

CellGate brings Total Property Security Access to commercial properties of any size: live video telephone entry (video intercom), access control, and camera integration, run through the TrueCloud Connect platform and the CellGate app. Retail, industrial, storage, and mixed-use sites all run on the same system.

The entry point

A Watchman at the gate or the lobby door handles whoever shows up: live video telephone entry so staff can see and speak with a driver or a visitor before releasing the gate, and a built-in camera that photographs every access attempt whether or not anyone answered.

An expansion port takes additional keypads, 26-bit Wiegand card readers, or wireless remotes, so one unit can serve a yard entrance that needs several ways in.

Every opening on the site

Entría controllers cover doors and gates on wired internet or cellular LTE, with an elevator controller for restricting access to designated floors in a mixed-use building. The Entría 4-Door Controller with camera support connects over ethernet, with no separate router needed.

Where an opening sits too far out to wire economically, OmniPoint reaches it wirelessly: up to 50 entrances per gateway, each as far as a mile away, controlling door locks, gate operators, and overhead doors. That is the case a warehouse, storage facility, or shipping yard runs into first.

Credentials for staff, vendors, and visitors

CG Readers & Credentials handle the people who come every day: Bluetooth contactless entry, card and fob taps, or a keypad code, with restrictions by time, day, and date so a credential only works when it should.

Vendors get their own labeled codes rather than sharing one. Visitors, deliveries, and one-time service calls get QR or PIN Code Visitor Passes that can expire after a single use. Every attempt lands in the activity log with a timestamp.

Schedules that match how the site runs

Most commercial access is a scheduling problem before it is a hardware problem. Hold-open schedules cover business hours, blackout days override them for holidays, and a First In schedule requires an authorized credential before the hold-open period starts, so the doors stay locked if nobody opens the building.

Fire alarm integration releases the entry points a life-safety event requires, notifies by SMS and email, and gives an administrator a single control to secure those openings again once the event ends.

What makes CellGate different

Here is what sets CellGate apart: it is the only company in the industry with dual-network flexibility, carrying data over either cellular LTE or wired internet, with both managed through one login on the TrueCloud Connect platform, hosted by Microsoft Azure.

On a commercial site that decides the budget. The lobby has a network drop and the back gate is four hundred feet from the nearest one. Supporting both means the far opening does not have to justify a trench.

“Wireless where you need it. Wired where you have it.”

Common questions

What is Total Property Security Access?

It is CellGate’s approach to putting live video telephone entry (video intercom), access control, camera integration, and credential-based entry into one system, administered through the TrueCloud Connect platform rather than four separate tools.

Can one system cover openings spread across a large site?

Yes. Entría controllers handle the openings you can reach with wired internet or cellular LTE, and OmniPoint covers up to 50 entrances per gateway at distances up to a mile, without long-distance data wiring to each one.

How is vendor and visitor access controlled?

Vendors get individually labeled codes with their own restrictions, so access can be revoked for one vendor without touching anyone else. Visitors and deliveries get QR or PIN Code Visitor Passes, including single-use passes that stop working after the first valid entry.

Gold Key Service through the rollout

Gold Key Service is the support model for commercial properties: specialists for activation, for data import, and for training administrators, rather than a general call center. Contact your local dealer or a CellGate security specialist to scope the system for your site.
